The concept of Wellness Lifestyles developed from a landmark study on a population of 2,818 people receiving Network Care. R.H. Blanks, Ph.D., one of the researches found that,
“Network Care has a direct effect on client self-reported wellness which is twice that expected from healthy lifestyle practices (exercise, risk avoidance, optimal food choices). Network also has a major indirect effect on wellness by promoting healthy life-style choices.”

Based on this research, the term Wellness Lifestyles developed to define the activities of people who practice a healthy lifestyle and seek alternative forms of health care to gain even greater overall health and wellness.
